Multiple emails sent with attachments

When I attach files such as pictures, the email just
hangs in my outbox and never shows as sent. But the one
email gets send up to a dozen times to the recipient.

I have a DSL line with a router and McAfee virus
protection.

Has anyone heard about this before?

I thought i was losing my mind on this.....exact same problem, with DSL and McAfee, however it was also happening when I was using CAble access one month ago. If you figure it out, please email me with an answer! Thanks.
