I just installed Office 2003 and started using Outlook and
I am getting errors all the time that require Outlook to
restart. I have sent reports to Microsoft when prompted -
which is done each time an application fails and needs to
be stopped. It happens for multiple things:
When I open a mail and double click on one of the names in
the "To" list in order to view the email address, I hear
the harddrive spinning and get the error display message
requesing to restart the app, and prompting whether we
want to send a report (equivalent to what used to be Dr
Watsons). I got the same behavior when I opened an
appointment, I had an error message that it could not
recognize certain objects, then I modified the appointment
and tried to save it, and got the Dr Watson (app restart
message) and checked the Send report again. Now when I
start Outlook, the first email on the list is a cancelled
meeting, I have a window on the right with the content of
the selected email, and when Outlook tries to process that
email, it craps out again (restarts). Now the problem is
that it is the first email on the list, I try to resort
the emails as soon as Outlook opens, but it does not work
because it tries to process that email first. I looked at
the debug info, and got the error message: Unhandled
exception in outlook.exe (outllib.dll): 0xC0000006 In
PageError
My OS is Windows Professional 2000, and I did check on the
Microsoft website that I have the latest SP and patches
applied.
Does anyone know how to fix this? And does anyone know
how we can get feedback from the multiple reports we send
out to Microsoft when an application fails?
