Multiple IMAP accounts not working

S

Simon

Here is the setup:

Exchange 2003 SP2, Outlook 2003 SP2. All updates installed. I have three
IMAP accounts on the server that I am trying to access through Outlook. The
server is in the same domain (and subnet) as the workstation running Outlook.
I have configured Outlook to access all three IMAP accounts and I get no
errors. What is happening is that it appears to connect to the server using
only one of the three IMAP accounts and then attempts to retrieve email based
upon that account.

For example, I have account1, account2, account3. I look at the current
sessions on the server when using Outllook and it shows account1 repeated
three times. So obviously each IMAP account is showing the same email.
Sending through SMTP appears to be working ok but I haven't tested that
extensively. I have IMAP configured to access the server externally using an
outside address, not internal address, because I thought that might be
causing the problem but no change.

I installed Thunderbird and configured it the same. It connects to the
server under each separate account and sends and receives email just fine.
Only problem is that it only does mail and the interface is crude.

Have I run into a brickwall here, bug, or does anyone have any idea how I
can resolve this? Thanks.
