Just to double check, you are using PowerPoint 2002(XP) or 2003, right?
As David said, there is not a problem with multiple animations being started
from a single trigger, but it is a little counter intuitive. The individual
animation is tied back to the triggering shape. If you tie several
animations to the same triggering shape, they will all fire when that shape
is clicked.
However, how they fire depends on how the custom animation starts are set.
If the animations are all set to 'Start on click', then you will need to
click the trigger once each time you want the next one to start. If you
change the animation to 'with previous', then they will all fire the first
time the trigger shape is clicked.
