Multiply records on the same detail line

Hi there everyone i have a report that needs to list items in the detail line
these items may be many 3 ,6 what ever. I want to be able to display the
first record on the left hnd side of the report and all alternate records on
the right hand side a bit like odds and evens.

How can i achieve this because when i use a text box and have it bound
source to items and then create a second text box and have its bound source
accessing the same items feild all it does is repeat it self.

can anyone sugest how this can be done

Please provide some sample records and how you would like them to appear in

Hi Duane

Many thanks for your responce i solved my problem by using columns, i just
spit the report up into colomns and this gave me the result i was after.
