MVP's Please Read - Microsoft Office Document Imaging

I have Office 2003 Basic installed on a XP Pro SP2 machine with all of the
updates in place.

I cannot get any of the annotations to work in the Microsoft Office Document
Imaging application - I need to mark up a document but when I click to
activate an annotation (Pen, text box) NOTHING happens. The cursor remains
a pointer and mouse clicks are ineffective. What am I missing? I would
appreciate any thoughts. Thank you.

Where did the image file come from. Do you get the same problem with a
image you create in MODI?

Yes the problem is with an image I created when I printed to the MODI
driver. Either format, tif or mdi does not allow any markup.
