I wonder if this isn't a tempest in a teapot. Lots of code samples
like this get passed from hand to hand, and the original attributions
can get worn off over time. I've been guilty of reposting other
people's good code, and I'm sure many of us have.

Allessandro has now (commendably) credited the code; maybe it's time
to give it a rest?

This is the true point.... i find on my tens of books many code
replication.... all with Copyright..
If Gary, as Tom indicate in first replay, also here in a public area
saw to me with education
the original auhtor i immediatly change it ....
