MXM return files

I am sending out team assignments, they arrive in outlook and can be opened
and populate as tasks okay in outlook. Problem is, no one can respond in
email. The error message reads "An error occured during initialization. An
error occured while saving the file. The data was not saved."

Noticed that in the reply email there is no "TO" is blank. Thinking I need
to assign the workgroup manager before I send all these out.
Any clues out there of what I'm doing wrong ????

Are you using Project Server or the workgroup messaging add-in? What
versions of the products are you using?

We are using Project 2000 and attempting to set up workgroup messanger.

Hi Kiwi,
It's been awhile since I used Project 2000 but something to check:
Open the project file:
In Tools> Options on the General tab, is the Project Manager's name entered
under the User Name field? (Often it is some generic name used when the
software was installed.) I believe it is the User Name that is used by
Project to route updates.
