My distribution lists keep on vanishing - any ideas?

Include the steps that reproduce your problem.

The question is straight forward enough....one day the distribution lists are
there, the next they have been deleted. This has happened twice in roughly 4
months.

The version is Outlook 2003 running on XP professional.

The steps are the norm for setting up distribution lists: create
distribution list, choose name from contacts or insert (and/or add to
contacts) then save & close.

DL's are very fragile and unreliable, but I've seen no similar reports
unless something was done to the information store such as moving it or
importing it.
