My Publisher 2003 pages don't show pictures

I have just started using Publisher 2003. When I insert pictures (jpeg or gif
or bitmap files) into a page I am composing the pictures refuse to be
displayed. All I get are the place holders. In print preview the pictures are
there, but not in page view. Publications created in earlier versions of
Publisher open up to show no pictures either.

If this is not the solution it could be you need to install a newer video driver.
Do this, slide the acceleration down on your adapter, control panel, display folder,
settings tab, advanced button, troubleshoot tab. If this solves the issue, go to the
web site of your video adapter and look around for an updated driver.
