JPG Picture not Printing

B

BobRob

Advice please. I am preparing an event programme in booklet form using
Publisher 2003; a programme which I frequently use. The middle two pages are
devoted to a map diagram showing the layout of the event. This has been
prepared professionally and converted into a JPG formatted picture.

When I insert the picture into the two pages and resize to fit it is
displayed perfectly on the two page view of the Publisher screen. However,
when I display using the print preview button all I see is a blank page. When
I print out the paper is also blank.

I have tried various permutations of tools / order / bring forward etc
without any success.

What am I doing wrong?

When you are ready to print, click the Advanced Print Settings button, Graphics
and Fonts tab, be certain *Print full-resolution linked graphics is enabled.*

If you select a different printer can you see the print preview? Is your printer
driver current?

Mary,

Thanks for your prompt reply. I now have the layout map printing albeit it
does not show in Print Preview. I takes a longer time than normal to print
and I wonder whether this is due to the resolyution size -3.23 MB. I will ask
the professional who creted the jpg to drastically reduce this size.

Many thnaks for your advice.

Pary,

I have solved my problem. I reduced the resolution of the JPG file by two
thirds (to 1.1 mb) and this did the trick. The picture displays in the Print
Preview facilty and it prints out without any noticeable difference in
quality.

Thank you very much for your help.
