My slides won't advance manually, what's wrong?

I have turned timings "off", and selected "advance slides manually". When I
begin the slideshow, it starts, but the slides will not advance at all, I
left click, I hit enter, space bar, everything. Nothing makes the slides
advance.

Not sure if this is the problem or not, but exit Slide Show Mode, click
"Slide Show", "Set up Show", and make sure the "Presented by a Speaker" in
clicked and NOT "Browsed by a KIOSK".

Have you put the slide show in Kiosk Mode? Go to the Slide Show menu and
choose Set Up Show. Have you selected Browsed at a kiosk? If so, click on
one of the other choices, and try again.

When you unchecked advance automatically, did you make certain that advance
on mouse click was checked?
