my spelling and grammer tab is not enabled

my spelling and grammar tab in options is greyed out, thus cant check
spelling. Help!

Generally, this is a sign that the proofing tools have not been
installed. Try going over "Add Remove programs" in the control panel to
run a "Change" type of setup. Drill down until you find the Proofing
tools and make sure the spelling and grammar are checked, then let Setup
finish.

If this does not help, please post in the word.spelling.grammar
newsgroup. Be sure to mention the VERSION of Word involved.
