I am an editor at a publishing company. When we work on electronic
manuscripts, there can be up to four people looking at the same document, so
we use track changes. However, we've recently discovered that when a document
comes back to us after having been edited by the other people, the wrong
names are showing up. For example, let's say Hope is working on a file with
Amy, and then sends it to Beth. John another editor, is working on an
entirely different file. He sends his to Amy, but when it comes back to him,
Hope's name mysteriously shows up on some of the edits, and Hope had nothing
to do with this file. Can anyone shed some light on why this might be
happening? I can be reached at lburstin(remove this)@wiley.com. Thank you.
