My version of Office 2003 ?

Hi. I have an Office 2003, standard edition, installed on a Win XP, sp2.
When windows update wants to install the security upgrade for Power
Point, Outlook and Word viewer, I get this message stating that it "
can't find the identification key for the product " on the pc !!! Is
this because of the version I had installed ? I got the CD, the key
srting, etc... I uninstalled and re-installed... same problem. All the
other upgrages went perfectly right. These are the only four ones not
installing. Howcome ?
thanks for your help.

Could you post the exact wording of the error message?
Here it is ( translating from French ) « The expected version is
impossible to find in your system ».
And all I can do from there is to click « ok » to shut down the upgrade
installation program.
Since I bought this Office 2003 CD at the university, where I used to
teach before I retired , I remember paying half-price at the teachers
Univesity shop. Would, by any chance, this be a factor ?
Thanks again.
