Mysteriously Moving Graphics

Dave

hello: i'm setting up some templates in word, using office
2003. they're pretty simple. some text, some placed
graphics, one graphic drawn in word. the problem is this:
when the templates are opened in a previous version of
word, the graphic i drew in word (which is just
straight-line rule) jumps to the other side of the page.
also, the automatic page numbering doesn't work properly.
any help would be appreciated. thanks in advance.

Dear Dave,

I have a similar prpblem with graphics created in Word
97. As I try to copy/paste an existing one between
documents, the PASTE command causes WORD to fall over.

Also, when dragging a graphic down from one page to the
next, it disappears. Any ideas? Wish I could help you,
but I'm stumped to. Will have to use Adobe InDesign in
future

Hi Dave,

Which "previous version" of Word?

Can you tell us exactly what settings were used to position
this Drawing object on the page?
