Great. That makes sense. I believe by "name," you mean "title." Slides
have "names" that are distinct from "titles," but I don't think the name
is used for your purpose. The title is what appears in the title
placeholder, so, as Bill suggested, you want a slide layout that includes
a title placeholder (Title Only contains a title placeholder and nothing
else). Now, you want to get this title so that it is not visible. This
can be done in a number of ways. The easiest thing to do is to drag the
title off the viewable area of the slide. If you want this for every
slide, you can do this on the master slide, but if you just want it for a
few slides, you can do it individually on those slides. If you don't want
other text to appear, that should be all you need to do. If you do want
other text to appear, create another textbox (either with the drawing
tools or by duplicating the title place holder) and put the text box on
the slide.
