I thought I had solved the problem but apparaently not!

When I preview the about page the link buttons are exactly the same as the
others pages, although they are not generated by the same custom link bar.
To answer your other questions below:
Yes I think I publish using FP in http mode, I use the first option on the
wizard.
Why must I remove spaces from page names? Even the page names without
spaces are appearing incorrectly on the buttons on the index page?
