I have several projects that are in process at the same
time, what i do is i import all the projects into one
project, but here is the problem, the resources
are not allocating themselves properly. To give you an
example You have one resource lawn mover, project number
one is mowing lawn one project number two is mowing
lawn two but there is only one lawn mower. When imported
into one project the lawn mower should mow lawn one and
then two but it mowing both of them simultaneously, how
should i structure the project that each resource i.e.
lawn mower, tillar, weed eater should schedule properly and
automatically while working on maybe 20 to 30 lawns.

A couple of things to look at. First, are you duplicating the resources in
the various project files? When you import, are you ending up with more
than one lawn mower in the final file's resource list? Second, have you
resource leveled after doing your consolidation?

Take look in Help for information on resource pools. That'll get you
pointed in the right direction.

Hi Ashley,

Inserting Projects into a master only provides a common view on tasks, it
does not consolidate resources.
To consolidate resources you need to connect the projects to a resource
pool.
Lookup the help on resource sharing or resource pools.
