need help:open windows media palyer from html

hi,

i like to open the windows media player or play .mpg file on any media
player from html page (not on brower). i insert the video from insert menu
but it plays the .mpg file on browser.

when anyone can click on the link.what i like to do is i like to open the
windows media player or any player and play the file xyz.mpg file.
