Need to re-activaye software after having to replace bad hard drive.

Well, that is an excellent riddle you have proposed. Now if you
tell us what actually DOES happen when you click on Activate
Product, then someone might be able to offer a suggestion.

I have a similar problem. Last night i installed a DVD drive which i think
pushed over the limit for maximum hardware changes, so office wants the
product to be reactivated. The activation wizard says i have activated the
maximum ammount of times when i go through internet, which is fair enough
considering it has been reactivated several times due to reformats and moving
computers.

The problem is, in the wizard, if i select the phone activation option, and
click next, the wizard just closes down like i've pressed cancel, it wont go
onto the next step. This leaves me stranded as i cannot get a product ID or
whatever it is you need to type in on the phone.

I DO have a legit copy of office 2003 (home use program) , box, key and all.
