I have a need to create a duplicate copy of a production project server
instance. Backgorund: We have a server farm configuration with a Terminal
Server, Application Server and Database Server deployment. Two Project Server
instances are currently avaiable, one production instance and the other a
test are for proving out configuration changes before advancing them to
production.

What is needed its a process to copy/move/replicate/refresh the production
instance back to the test instance. Do you have any ideas, or process and
proceedure documented for achieving this task?

Thank you in advance for your assitance as this is somewhat a time critical
issue.

Version Project Server 2007 SP1
MS Project Professional 2007 Version:(12.0.6211.1000) SP1 MSO (12.0.6213.1000)

I am in the process of reading Brian's blog and it makes sense although I an
somewhat new and would preceed with great care and caution. As I read though
I want to make sure (as I don't see a direct statement) that this can be used
as a repeatable process to the same instance location. I do see that I may
have an issue with doing this currently due to the fact that test instance is
a prevensioned extension from the production (noted in the blog). Can you
provide any additional information?

Thank you,
J Ferguson
