Need To Understand Extensions

Hello everyone. I am a Java developer fairly new to Frontpage. I have
encountered some websites that I have to maintain for a while. They
were designed in FP 2002. I would like to learn more about the
structure of the FP extension files and folders. I have searched the
internet high and low and cannot find such information. Can anyone
forward me a resourceful document that will help me understand the
technical aspects of these configuration files and folders?
