need to upgrade to Office XP Professional

I submitted a request to Microsoft last Monday and they claim to get back to you with 24-48 hrs. but no one ever did. My professor is requiring us to get Office XP Professional for a Powerpoint class that I'm taking and right now I have Windows 2000 Professional with a version of Powerpoint that she doesn't accept. How/where do I upgrade at a student rate? Thanks much.
