Nesting IF statements with {..}

Found a formula with IF statements nested with {..} at its begining and end. Can not edit the statement. When I do, even if I make no changes, the brackets remove thenselves and the formula no longer works. What gives.

Mico,

It sounds like you have an array formula. With these, you don't type the
{ }, Excel adds them when you enter with Ctrl-Shift-Enter, rather than just
Enter.So edit the formula, and then Ctrl-Shift-Enter, and you should be
there.
