Is there a Microsoft product that will make Document Image Writer in Office
2003 Network Capable? I know Adobe has one.

Hi C.L.,

Can you provide more detail on what you mean by 'Network Capable'?
The MS Office Document Imaging Printer requires Office 2003 to
be installed to use it.

Hi Bob,

A customer of mine wants to load Office 2003 on a server and share the
Document Imaging as one would a printer. He wants to use .tif. Adobe has a
product for sale that will do this but he doesn't want .pdf. They're running
Office 97 and I think he is trying to avoid having to buy Office 2003 to do
this. Unless there is a legit way tor product that will allow him to
accomplish this I will be informing him that he would have to buy Office 2003.

Thanks for your help.

Hi C.L.,

There are printer drivers available that can create
TIF images from Word word documents
http://www.print-driver.com/howto/word_doc.htm
http://www.eprintdriver.com/to_tiff/DOC-to-TIFF-ex.html
http://www.convertzone.com/net/cz-art print driver-doc-tif.htm

(many fax packages as well generate that format)
but the use of the MS Office Document Imaging printer
at present requires a MS Office System 2003 product license.
