Network printer wont stay on one PC

Thanks for taking the time to help me resolve this issue.
We have a Windows 2003 server. Our OS is 2000 Pro. I have all the computers
setup for our network printer. One computer though everytime you shutdown and
restart, you have to go back and retrieve the printer. The user has
administrative privilages. This is a computer that can not be left on during
a business week so therefore it is very
frustrating. I know that I am not in the right discussion group but I
couldn't find one to ask this question. Any help would be appreciated.

Yep - not the right group for your question. You might want to consider
using a newsreader like Outlook Express or Forte Agent rather than the web
interface to the newsgroups - it's a lot easier to do nearly everything
there, including searching, which is always a good idea to do before you
post, as well as mark messages to be watched, and filter based on replies to
your posts.

The Microsoft public news server is msnews.microsoft.com and you can
subscribe to as many groups as you like. In OE, if you click the Newsgroups
button, you can browse through all the Microsoft public newsgroups.

Now -

One doesn't need any admin privileges to connect to a network printer (just
to add a local one).
Are you using roaming profiles?
Mandatory profiles?
Did this ever work for this user?
Have you checked the event logs on the workstation for errors? Particularly,
profile related ones suchas USERENV? See if

helps.

When you have the information, post a new message to
microsoft.public.win2000.general and include the details. Good luck!
