New blank document has a view error

Word 2003....every new document I open the insertion point is near the top of
the page. I have to open Header and Footer and close in order to get the
insertion point back to its normal location. Any ideas?

Also...any idea why the Open dialog box would be much larger than any other
feature in Word (this is on Word 2002)? It's almost as if the screen
resolution was lowered for the Open dialog box only!

Insertion point... In Word, click on Tools | Options | View | check the
"White space between pages" box | OK.

Open dialog box... Double-click the title bar of the dialog box to restore
it to its normal size.
