I am just starting to use publisher. I have created a couple of pieces. But I
have one problem. At the end of a text line I get a symbol that looks like a
music (G Cliff) when I print it goes away. But do I need to see it all the
time on my screen?

Ithat's a non-printing character and is called a pilcrow. It indicates the
end of a paragraph. If you don't want to see it, click on the icon with that
same symbol and it will no longer be visible.

I would suggest reading
http://word.mvps.org/FAQS/Formatting/NonPrintChars.htm. This is written for
Word it is applicable to Publisher as well. Many of us find them so useful
that working without them is like being blindfolded.

You may also be pressing Enter near the end of the line. Just keep typing,
Publisher will wrap the text to the next line.
