New emails arent automatically shown like they should be.

I have a machine on a network and when an email is sent to the inbox of the person logged in to the machine outlook does not get the email. In order to get the email I have to refresh the connection between the server and client by doing some of the following: (click a different folder in outlook, click on contacts, calendar, outlook today, etc..) If I just leave the machine and email it a lot it wont show up until I click off of what I am doing to talk with the server. Outlook 2K Pro is running on XP Pro and its set up as a Corprate Email acct it just wont show new emails unless you do something
