I am sending email to 3000 people throught outlook. I
view the contacts by category. I have all people to
receive an email in an email category. After selecting
all the members to send an email to I click the icon (new
message to contact) and it should create a new email
message and place all the selected items into the mail
message. However I receive an error on must all of the
selected items. I receive "The custom form could not be
opened. Outlook will use an Outlook form instead" Any
help would be appreciated

Innumerable causes. Narrow the choices.
At the very least state your Outlook version and what custom forms you are
using.

I am running exchange 2003 as my server with outlook
2000. I dont think I am using custom forms. I am just
trying to send a mass email to 3000 people. If you have
an ideas for this, they would be helpful

Not much to go on here. Tried clearing your forms cache?

I am experiencing the same problem:

Select a category containing 467 items & click on "new message t
contact"; receiving error "the custom form could not be opened. Outloo
will use an Outlook form instead"; click on OK, then "Operatio
failed".

Works if narrow down selection i.e. select a subset of contacts in th
category. Can send in two lots of 230, but frustrating since this is
daily email.

We do use a custom contact form. I have cleared the forms cache.

Running Outlook 2003, Exchange Server 2003 on Windows XP
