New Messages in public folder.

I have setup a group of public folders to receive e-mail
message complete with their own addy(ex.
(e-mail address removed)). When someone on the inside of my LAN
sends a message to (e-mail address removed) then message comes
threw with a mail icon. You can right click it and mark
it for follow up like any mail message. If anyone from
the outside world sends a message to (e-mail address removed) the
message comes throw with a "notes" icon. You can not
mark a note for follow up. This is causing a problem.
My users need to be able to mark these messages for
follow up.

So my question is how do I get mail coming to
(e-mail address removed) from the outside to show up as mail and
not as a note. OR how do I configure exchange so that
notes can be marked for follow up. Answering the first
question would be the preferrable method, but if it's not
possible, my users will just have to deal.

The kicker is when I was figuring out how to set these
public folders up I saw an article somewhere dealing with
incoming mail from the outside and getting the mail
icon. But I didn't save the link and now can't find that
article. Not sure if it was a KB article or from some
other website. but I'm hopeful someone here can help me.

Thanks,
Mike
