new office home and student 2007

I just purchased this today from my university, it's a student licensed
version. Imagine my surprise when I load it and there is no One Note!!! I
thought that this was included on home and student software! Does anyone
know why one note would not be on there, and if there is any way to exchange
software? I just feel royally screwed as I could have spent 10 dollars more
on amazon and got the version with One note!

It does include it. Put the disk back in and see if you can add additional
items - it may not have installed right away for some reason.

As for exchanges, that's up to your bookstore.

Are you sure that this is the Home and Student version and not an academic
version of Office which probably would be either equivalent to the
Professional or Small Business Edition (SBE) version of the Office software.
If it has Access and Outlook, it is the academic version of Professional.
If it has Outlook and doesn't have Access, it is probably SBE.

Yes, I have gone back and looked over all options and even reloaded, and
there is no one note. I have to assume that you are correct that it is not
on this because it is a student licensed software sold at a university and
therefor, the "academic" version. I really needed to upgrade anyway, but I
really wanted one note and the whole point of buying it where I did was a
lower price, so I guess I'll just have to continue living without... Thanks.
