New PC - Can't uninstall office 2003 trial, therefore cannot install office 2000

Make sure your bios is set to read from the CD drive first then I would save
my important files to CD or disk and format the c: drive. Then load all your
software from scratch. It will save you headaches from any other trial
software as well.

Reformatting your hard drive is a sure fire way to get rid of any software
bugs or even viruses you may have picked up. Sure, you have to reinstall
everything, but if you have your software handy, it's easy. You'll also start
clean with W2000.
