New to Outlook 2003, want to change appearance

S

Steve Freides

I prefer to have my Inbox and other folders' contents appear with a single
line for each message showing name, author, date, etc., and have the message
bodies appear below. How can I change Outlook 2003 to work more like what I
had in Outlook 2002 in this regard? I just performed the upgrade today.

TIA.

Open the Advanced toolbar and choose Define at the end of the Current View
combo box. Select Messages and modify. Choose Other settings, change the
layout to be single line and you'll probably want to switch preview to the
bottom.

FWIW, I think you should give it a couple of weeks to get used to it. The
reading pane on the right and double line message list really does show more
information.

Or they can uncheck View>Arrange By>Show In Groups
