New Version Of Office Suite

So is Office 2007 still the best product..now that the New OS date has been
pushed.
Seems to me MS will have to come out with Office 2007rev2 just to get more
money. Might tick of the folks that goes out and buys it to quick??

Hi Gerry,

Yep, you're right :) The pricing for the MS Office Project 2007 client
apps (Standard and Pro) are listed on
http://microsoft.com/office/preview/pricing.mspx#ERC
and you may want to watch the Keynote presentation from
the MS Office Project & Visio 2006 conference at
http://microsoft.com/presspass/exec/steve/2006/01-19BallmerProjectConference.mspx
(about 29 minutes in).
There are MS team blogs for each of the MS Office 2007 apps (some more
active than others) might be good place for feedback /
questions on each of the apps. The Project 2007 current blog is at http://blogs.msdn.com/project

(For upcoming Office 2007 live events in the U.K., this may be a helpful
location. http://blogs.msdn.com/officerocker/ )

OK thanks, these are very useful; they actually talk about real-life
migration etc.

One thing is clear from those pages; the server strategy is a mess; did
you see all those servers and note all the incompatibilities across
their versions, then you've got the same problem with the next Office
release. There's no consistency and no future planning - it's the same
mess we had with "office extensions", "frontpage extensions", and now
the same mess with three different SharePoint servers and not all
features are even compatible with Microsoft's own products, let alone
anyone else's.
