Newsgroups and Outlook or Outlook vs Microsoft Outlook Reader

No Monkey business here. Either I did not install Office
2003 completely, Although I feel I did or someone is
pulling a rabbit out of a hat here.

Outlook 2003 does tell me how to create a newsreader but
when I get to the dialog box showing the "Add-Remove"
Buttons, I saw the "GO" category but I did not see
the "NEWS" Command in the dialog box.

Is this a bug in Outlook?

If not, how do I find the "News" in the Go Category of
the Add-Remove buttons Dialog box?

I appreciate your input.

thx,
Edb

To get the News command back, go back to the Programs tab in Control Panel |
Internet Options and change the default newsreader to Outlook Express. If
OE prompts you to make it your default newsreader the next time you launch
it, click the "Don't ask me again" box and then click the No button.

You may need to reset the menu or toolbar using Tools, customize.

IT WORKS!! NOW I HAVE NEWSGROUPS WHERE IT REALLY SUPPOSE
TO BE ... IN OUTLOOK.

But why does it open another dialogue box instead of
keeping it in the same Outlook pane. Basically, what I
want to do is create a Folder like I do with my e-mails
and drag and drop Newsgroup materials. You see ... I Keep
outlook as a resource center for information.

Is there a way that this can be done now or can it be a
feature in the next version of outlook?

I really appreciate your input.

thx,
Edb

Outlook uses Outlook Express for news groups - always has and hopefully
always will. Open Help->About in the Outlook news reader for confirmation.

Post all replies to the group to keep the discussion intact. Due to the
Swen virus, all e-mails sent to my actual account will be deleted w/out
reading.
