Newsletter format question

S

Steve Grosz

I'm curious, what page size to most people use to print off a newsletter?

I printed our first one last month, and just used double-sided 8 1/2 x 11
pages....

I'm curious if there's a better way, like to use larger paper and fold it???

Any ideas? Thoughts??

Thanks..

I used an 11 x 17 folded in half and 8½ x 11 sheet for inserts if necessary.

One of the things you need to consider is the printing costs and the labor
involved. If you opt to print on the larger sheets either you will pay extra
for the folding or you'll do it yourself. In my case we paid for the
folding, saddle stitching, and then tabbed them for me. All I had to do was
slap a label and stamp on them. It cost more but I was the entire newsletter
department.

Talk to your printer and find out what kind of money he/she would want for
the extra work. Is it within your budget? Do you have the time to do it
yourself or will you have help?
