No access to project workspace

Hello all,

From time to time Team Members no longer have access to their Project
Workspace although they are still assigned to tasks in the project (Booking
Type = committed). These team members are not listed at all in the Site
Actions-Site Settings-Advanced Permissions in the Project workspace. Does
anyone know how to solve this?

As a workaround we manually synchronise the authorisation using
server-settings-project workspaces-synchronise for the selected project.

We are using the option "Check to automatically synchronize Project Web
Access users with Project Workspaces when they are created, when project
managers publish projects, and when user permissions change in Project
Server. When the check box is cleared, Project Server users are never
synchronized with Project Workspaces"

Also the authorization settings for the Team Members group is set to 'View
Project Workspace' for the category "View all projects", in which all the
projects are contained. So we try to establish that every Project Server user
has Read access to every Project Workspace and Contribute Access when a user
is assigned to tasks in the project.

Hi Marcel,

I suspect that someone tinkers with the security of your workpsace. I would
check if it is one particular workspace and would check wiht the PM or the
team if someone chances the security from "Inherent from Parent" to Unique
permissions. that would certainly be a reason why some team members may dont
have access.
Just a thought :) hope it helps

I think this was caused by the fact that the project was published. During
publish, first all users a removed and then added again.
