Under 98SE I had good sound, etc. Upgraded to XP Home and now no sound. Going
through the menu comes up with "No Audio Device" Have downloaded nVidia
drivers, no success. card is nVidia GeForce2 400MX

This sounds like a general Windows question, not a PowerPoint question. Is the
error message only occurring in PowerPoint? Are you able to play music in
Windows Media Player, or other player? nVidia is your graphics card, not your
sound card. Have you applied the Service Packs 1 and 2 for Windows XP?

You probably need to post your question in one of the Windows newsgroups if it
is a general problem.

Sonia,
many thanks for your prompt response. I may be barking up the wrong tree
with the nVidia. But sound was good with 98SE. Will investigate further.
