No confidence with Outlook 2002 and Hotmail

G

George Cook

I use Outlook 2002 SP2 running over XP Professional SP1, and regularly
update all patches/updates
I recently discovered some of my emails have not been recieved by
recipients.
There does not seem to be a pattern - other than usually when sending
a message with an attachment (although not always). I do not exceed
my Hotmail attachment limits or web space limits.
WHen I compare my Hotmail "Sent" folder with my Outlook 2002 "Sent"
folder there are discrpencies - e.g. some files missing - usually on
the Hotmail Server and sometimes on the Outlook folder. I have zero
confidence in this vital program (Outlook).
Also - and this may be normal - when recieving a message with say a
300K attachment - there seems to be a huge amount of traffic generated
(say a meg or two) to download this file. (This symptom may be
related to my problem above or may be normal functioning - I don't
know)

I know I can switch to Outlook Express etc., but I want to find this
problem and use Outlook 2002 as (apart from the Hotmail issues) is
works beautifully syncing with my pocketPC.
Any suggestions? - thanks...
