How can I define a task to be non-ending. For example the task is "Running
business" and I don't know when the business will be shut down?

Thor,
Heavens! is that what you are planning for - the business to be shut
down? How an open-ended task is handled depends on how you want to track
it. In some cases it may make sense to plan the task one period (i.e.
week, month, quarter, etc.) at a time. That way it is easier to track
the discrete work packages. Kind of a "one-day-at-a-time" approach.
Project has no facilities for declaring an open-ended task (i.e. a task
with no scheduled finish date). That is because everything in life has a
beginning and end. If you don't want to use periodic discrete work
packages as described above, the best you can do is to give your best
guestimate as to when the business will close. Define the managing task
with an estimated Duration to give that end date and track effort as you
go. If you get better information about the end date later, just update
the task by increasing the Duration.
Hope this helps.
