No longer able to cut and paste in word or in my hotmail???????!?!

Please help me ... what an embarassing question but whenever I control-C
followed by a control-V, all I get is a blank cursor movement (one
character's worth.)

Even if I Control-X, then control-V, get the same unbelievable cursor
movement...

If the problem is limited to Word then more than likely the keyboard
shortcuts were assigned to another command and are overriding the
defaults.

Try the following:
- Press Ctrl + Alt + + (Plus on the numeric keypad)
Your mouse point should change to a clover shape.
- Press Ctrl + V

The Customize Keyboard dialog box should open to the command Ctrl + V
is assigned to. If it isn't EditPaste then select the key assignment
from the list of Current keys and click Remove.

If you still have a problem with Ctrl + C and Ctrl + X then perform
the same steps and see if another keyboard shortcut has been assigned.
