No longer able to insert picture in HTML mail.

All of a sudden, my Outlook 2003 has started displaying a blank untitled
window instead of the Insert Picture dialog box. Neither repairing the
installation or removing Outlook completely and reinstalling cures the
problem. Can anyone suggest a cure for this problem?

Excuse me following up my own thread from the middle of last month but I
thought it would be useful for those who have also had this problem, and I
know from Googling that I am not alone. Having discovered that Outlook
Express 6 had the same problem I was led in the direction of Internet
Explorer 7 which did play up a few weeks back and which, as many others seem
to have found, has been giving problems with an incorrect version of the
Internet Control panel on Windows XP.

I had removed and reinstalled IE7 previously but I did so again and then
reinstalled it from the Microsoft site so it picked up all the latest
updates. End result was that Insert Picture is back as it should be, as
indeed is the Internet Control panel. Hopefully that is the end of it but
time will tell.
