No matter what I do, Outlook keeps asking for password

I have an account, using Outlook XP, that when it goes to retrieve mail it
keeps asking to enter network password. In the account info area I do have
save password selected. When the enter network password box pops up I also
put a checkmark in that box.

Yes, once I say OK it does retrieve the e-mail so all settings are set
properly.

Why does OL keep looking for password??

The second one points to OE and not Outlook but I got it to work. I just
deleted the accounts and re-created.

I have followed all the instructions and tried deleting and recreating the
account, but it still keeps asking me for my password every 2 minutes. What
else can I trry?
