Hi Al,
Generally, this one comes up if the printer driver is
corrupted or if the Office installation is or if there's
a 3rd party add-in product interfering.
You didn't mention the version of Office you're
running, but you may want to try holding down the
ctrl key while starting Word, for example to see
if that works. If not, you may need to do a repair/reinstall
of Office through Add/Remove Programs in the Windows
Control Panel.
