No News Button

John E. Bousa

After installing Office 2003 I went to Outlook.
Went to Go. No news button.
Went to customize, commands, Go,
there was no news button in the right menu selections.
How do I fix this?

With previous versions of Outlook, the proper choice for the default
newsreader in Control Panel | Internet Options | Programs was Outlook. With
Outlook 2003, the correct choice is Outlook Express (since the Outlook
Newsreader has always been Outlook Express by default, this makes sense).
If you choose Outlook instead, the News command disappears from Outlook.

To get the News command back, go back to the Programs tab in Internet
Options and change the default newsreader to Outlook Express. If OE prompts
you to make it your default newsreader the next time you launch it, click
the "Don't ask me again" box and then click the No button.
