No Unique Index...

Hi. I am a newbie - using Access 2003. Could anyone please tell me what
this error means and how to get around it?

"no unique index found for the reference field of the primary table".

It also says in the relationship type box "indeterminate relationship type"

I have 4 tables. I get the message when I am in the Relationship window,
trying to connect the primary key of one table to the foreign key of another
table. The table with the foreign key has a concatenated primary key. The
foreign key is the first 5 positions of it. I have checked the size of both
keys and they are fine. Any ideas? Thanks!

Nevermind - thanks anyhow! I found it. I had something labed as a key that
wasn't supposed to be.

Use an autonumber as the primary key with a long integer as the foreign key.
It is quite OK to have a compound index. Even one which is unique, but don't
use it for a key.
