Non-Cached enterprise

Can someone explain the difference between "cached enterprise" and
"non-cached enterprise when using the Organizer?

When you start Project Professional connected to Project Server, it
automatically downloads a copy of the Enterprise Global. This is the cached
version. When you open the Enterprise Global then it is not cached. You need
security rights to open the Enterprise Global, typically only Admin have
them.

Any items copied to the cached Enterprise in Organizer will not survive as a
fresh copy is read every time you open Project professional.
