Normal Template Always Resaved

I working with Word2003... I've got a set of macros that are installed to
run some automated document processing. The macros are activated via a
toolbar button.

The issue is that whenever I close Word, the Normal template is resaved!!!
Even if I just Open and Close the app.

I do not have any Auto-run code in my macros (ie.,AutoExec, AutoExit)...

So why does this keep happening? The exact same macros are installed on a
Word2002 system and that system doesn't display the same behavior.

This is a really annoying issue and on top of it... the macro execution
speed is significantly slower on the 2003 version!!!

Any help would be greatly appreciated!!!

I guess the more ou know the less you are annoyed.

Turn of the option to update Normal template on your Normal.dot default
template if it is the controlling one or whichever template.

Hope that helps... the issue of having to save the template..

Thanks for the tip... although that helps to reduce the issue... it
doesn't fix it by a long shot. There is definitely something wierd about
the normal template... I get the same effect at home... but it is not as
pronounced (faster computer). But this is a pretty significant issue!

I'll have to post again and see if I get more input.
